In case you want to try multiple-line fishing....don't. It is illegal to fish with more than one line during open water season and to fish with more than two lines while ice fishing. Fishing can be done with hook and line, and any more than four hooks on one line is not allowed (a lure with a gang of hooks is considered one hook). Using lights, firearms, chemicals, electric shockers, or explosives to catch or kill fish, catching fish by snaring or snagging and grappling or use of hands alone to take or attempt to take fish are all against the law. Fish traps or nets to take fish, is allowed but only of you are specifically licensed to do so. If you do find nets in the water while sportfishing, it is illegal to tamper with or take fish from the net, (or trap / holding device) without the owner's permission.
