Original Ranger Station

Location: Greenwater Provincial Park.


This is the site of the original Greenwater ranger station established in 1914 under the federal Forestry branch, Department of the Interior, Canada. The station was operated until 1948 and then moved to the beach area.

Portions of the original foundation from the house and barn remain on this site.

Staff were called Rangers under the Dominion and Field Officers under the Province after the transfer of lands in 1930.
