Moose Mountain Provincial Park is located within the Horizon Country tourism region of Saskatchewan. This is part of the Qu'Appelle Valley, and the park is 40,000 hectares located on the highest plateau in the southeast. It is like a forest island on an elevated plateau of rolling hills, lakes, ponds and lush poplar and birch forests.
The surroundings provide the perfect setting in which to enjoy nature. Popular Kenosee Lake is part of the park and activities here include miniature golf, 18-hole golf, horseback riding, tennis, swimming mountain biking and a host of others. Try out the Kenosee Waterslide while you are there.
Moose Mountain was established in 1931 as a forest preserve for deer, elk and moose. An abundance of wildlife is present; waterfowl, beaver, muskrat, bald eagles and golden eagles make their home in the park area.
