The word "Saskatchewan" means "the river that flows swiftly". The province was named by the Plains Indians (their word was "kisiskatchewan"), after the waterway which bisects the land.



Saskatchewan comprises 250,000 square miles of plains, mountains, deserts, badlands, parks; 80 million acres of forest and thousands of lakes - all waiting to be explored by the adventure seeker.
