The word "Saskatchewan" means "the river that flows swiftly". The province was named by the Plains Indians (their word was "kisiskatchewan"), after the waterway which bisects the land. |
Saskatchewan comprises 250,000 square miles of plains, mountains, deserts, badlands, parks; 80 million acres of forest and thousands of lakes - all waiting to be explored by the adventure seeker. |
