In the midst of the aspen forests of the rolling Duck Mountain highlands in east central Saskatchewan, lies beautiful Madge Lake. Duck Mountain Provincial Park is 26,160 hectares of natural environment, rises some 240 metres above the surrounding area and is only 25 km east of Kamsack. The park is open year-round with full services for campers from Victoria Day to September Labour Day. Year-round accommodation may be found in the park at Duck Mountain Lodge as well as at various resorts and bed and breakfasts. Enjoy golfing, fishing, tennis, horseback riding, cycling, waterskiing, and hiking. Kelsey Country is the tourism region that contains this park; known for its great hunting and fishing. Duck Lake Provincial Park is well-noted for its excellent wildlife habitat. The Porcupine Forest is one of the best-known snowmobiling regions in the province. Duck Mountain Provincial Park, in addition to Greenwater Lake and Good Spirit Lake, share this 80 kilometres worth of groomed trails. In the winter, icefish and cross-country ski on 84 kilometres of groomed trails at Duck Mountain Provincial Park.
