Ice fishing
- specialized form of angling; fishing through cut-out holes in ice of frozen-over waterbody. Commercially, accomplished using nets; sportfishermen often use "jigging", where a short stick with a specially shaped handle around which the line is wound, and natural bait on the end of the line, is used.
