Radium
a radioactive element produced by the decay of uranium ore; used in luminous paints

Recrystallization
a group of processes that reorganize the chemical components of minerals while they remain solid crystals and form new minerals more stable at elevated pressures and temperatures

Refraction
a change in direction of light (or energy wave) as it passes from one substance or medium through a substance or medium of different density

Resource
anything that will meet a need; potential wealth of a country (as in natural resource)
